AMA Supercross 2013 - Round 3 Anaheim 2

Monster Energy Supercross makes its way back to Anaheim for round 3, this time it's at Angel Stadium.

A big announcement came after practice with Kevin Windham retiring from racing.

The track was very technical tonight with many rythym sections and a drying track surface making traction difficult in places.

250 Heat 1 - Davalos gets his usual heat race holeshot, but can't hold on to the lead. Ryan Sipes comes through for the win, Anderson passes Davalos for second.

250 Heat 2 - Ken Roczen takes out heat two, two seconds over Eli Tomac and third was Jessy Nelson who holeshot the race..

250 Main Event - Cole Seely gets the $1000 cheque for the holeshot, but he is followed closely by Ken Roczen and Eli Tomac. The three of them check out from the rest of the pack.

On lap nine Tomac makes his move on Roczen before the finish line jump. Lap eleven Tomac drifts around the outside of the first corner to pass Seely and take the lead.

Tomac pulls a gap and Roczen gets past Seely. It's Tomac's race from Ken Roczen and Cole Seely.

Feature Video - 450 Main Anaheim 2 Supercross 2013:

450 Heat 1 - Big crash down the main straight off the start that will see Davi Millsaps head to the LCQ. Justin Brayton takes a nice win from trey Canard and Mike Alessi.

450 Heat 2 - Villopoto takes the win from James Stewart and Chad Reed. Justin Barcia is off to the LCQ to try and qualify for the main..

only two riders can qualify for the main from the LCQ and with both Millsaps and Barcia in the race there is not much hope for the other riders. After a battle Millsaps takes the win from Barcia.

450 Main Event - Weimer takes the $1500 holeshot award followed by Barcia and Canard... another bad start for Villopoto.

Canard moves into the lead, Barcia cases the triple and pulls off the track. Villopoto is moving through the pack.

Villopoto is a freight train on the move and by the end of lap six he has passed Canard for the lead.

Stewart has a fall in a right hand corner (which must be tough on his knee as we now know it's a torn ACL), gets up and continues outside the top ten.

Villopoto becomes the third winner of the season from Trey Canard and Chad Reed makes his way up to third after a battle with Millsaps.
